Positive and loving relationships are vital for health and well-being, and my primary goal as a therapist is to create space for my clients to feel safe and welcome to explore their thoughts, hopes and dreams, and ultimately to become the best versions of themselves. I am particularly passionate about supporting those who are exploring gender identity and or sexuality, and those who are thinking about or wanting to transition.

My life experience has also led me to have experience in holistic well-being, anxiety disorders, grief, chronic illness, and spirituality. My background working in school systems lends experience working to support students with unique needs, and I often find myself advocating for students in the school setting.

Working with individuals, couples, families and a combination there of, my methods are strength-based, goal driven and solution-focused and I often assign homework in between sessions. I look forward to getting to know you and offering whatever tools I can to help you achieve your goals.

Lisa's focus areas
  • LGBTQIA2S+| As a bisexual female who has raised a transgender child I am dedicated to supporting the mental health of the LGBTQIA community, I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where individuals can explore their identities without judgment or agenda. I recognize the complexities of each individual’s journey and aim to always show up with an open mind, ready to expand my own understanding and support my clients in their evolving and changing goals. I have also working advocating for the LGBTQIA2S+ community with PFLAG for over two years, and have a wealth of resources and experience to offer.

  • Holistic Health | In my mid-thirties I was struggling with a host of imbalances, and in my journey to achieve wellness I discovered the ancient science of Ayurveda. Through my training as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor I achieved a level of health I never knew was possible, and acquired a variety of tools to understand who imbalance presents itself in the mind and body, and ways to correct it. For clients who are interested in eastern philosophies and methods, I have a wealth of knowledge to share.

Lisa's Ideal Client

My ideal client is someone who is motivated to put in the work, is willing to engage and be consistent with sessions, and is on a journey of self-discovery. I am inspired by my clients and love to learn and grow with them as we work together. For clients wanting to work specifically on trauma I often refer out to those trained specifically in EMDR. I work with ages thirteen and up.

Lisa’s Personal Information

I live in Northeastern Connecticut with my husband and two boys, as well as three dogs, a cockatiel and a ball python. Fun fact: My husband and I bought the Inn where we stayed on our wedding night, where we now both work from home and have two rooms we rent on Airbnb. Our house is on the Historic Registry and we have loved restoring it since we purchased it in 2021. Growing up in Salem, Massachusetts, I have a love of history as well as Halloween.
